The second great free site you should immediately join is IMFaceplate. It is kind of like a cross between facebook and twitter and you will make many good contacts there. Faceplate was just started about a month or so ago and is poised to explode in growth! This is one of my favorite sites and I urge you to sign up now (its also free) here.
